Dorothy Phene Livingston, 85, of Waco, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.
Graveside Service: will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 12 at Bruceville Moore Cemetery.
Dorothy was born September 2, 1934, in Hamilton, to Jimmy and Emmie (Donahoo) Babbitt.
Everyone who met Dorothy loved her. She loved just visiting with people and never wanted to hurt anyone. She always said “Treat people the same way you want to be treated.”
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Doug Livingston; sons, Joe Dale Donald, Jr. and Todd Livingston; granddaughter, Sonja Mercer; brothers, William, JH, and Clifford Babbitt; and sisters, Lora Mae Martin and Cora Lee Marwitz.
She is survived by her daughter, Pat and husband, Bobby Gene Mercer, Sr.; step-children, Tracey Livingston Ray, Lisa Minyard, and Gene Glosser; grandsons, Billy Joe Donald and Bobby (Bubba) Mercer, Jr. and wife, Amy; granddaughter, Christal Pick and husband, Nolan; great-grandchildren, Shannon and Brooklyn Pick; and sister, Imogene Pope.

I’m sorry, Pat. I didn’t know until I saw this today. She was a great friend and we had so many laughs! One story I love to tell about us is that (at Revco) we found some ‘memory pills’ and decided to try them. A few weeks later I asked Dorothy if she thought they were working for her, and she said, ‘I don’t know. I forgot to take them!’ She was a hoot and a blessing in my life. Lucy Finn
