Doyle Dennis Sr. was born February 25, 1949, in San Antonio, Texas. He was the youngest of all four boys to Dub and Gladys Dennis.

Doyle graduated from Lamesa High School in 1967, where he played football and was the quarterback. In July 1969 Doyle enlisted into the United States Army as an Artillery Crewman. After serving and receiving an honorable discharge Doyle became a certified mechanic and worked as a mechanic until he retired in 2019.
In his free time Doyle loved fishing, listening to country music, and spending time with his family and close friends, especially his older brother Weldon Dennis, whom he was very close with.
Doyle is preceded in death by his parents, and two of his older brothers.
Doyle is survived by his children, Kimberly Dennis and Doyle Dennis Jr; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and one older brother.
