Dr Stickley not only delivered one of my babies, but I had the privlege to work side by side with him on the OB unit in Crowley. He also lectured to my students when I taught LPN’s.He was one of God’s angels on this earth.
My deepest sympathy goes out to your family. Dr. Stickley brought me, all 4 of my siblings & my oldest son into this world. He was much more than a doctor to me. He was a longtime family friend & like another grandfather to me. I will always cherish the fond memories I have of him & keep his memory close to my heart.

I just heard about your daddy. I grew up with all the Stickley kids in Crowley some years ago. Good heavens, what a glorious childhood we all had. Our dad’s hunted together with Judge Brunson, Carrie Martine and others. Our mom’s smoked cigarettes before they new it was bad for them and concocted "pink ladies " and "grasshoppers" and painted. They all spent many hours talking and storytelling and just living well and strong. My daddy considered your daddy his best friend and maintained contact through the years and I have been able to keep up with you kids that way for some time. Your daddy was a gentle Giant in so many ways: a man of kindness, wisdom and great love. I can hear his laugh ring in my ears still. Such a full life. May the Lord’s perpetual light shine upon him and may he and all the souls of the faithful departed, by the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. Much love from the Tilden kids. Judy, Mike and Patty
