Edward Warren Jenkins, 79, of Waco, passed away on Aug. 12, 2014 at a local hospital.

Visitation and Viewing: 6-8 PM, Thursday, August 14 at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco.

Edward was born in Bastrop, Texas on May 13, 1935 to the late Erna (Whilham) Wiseman and Edward Warren Jenkins, Sr. He married Minnie Stevison on May 19, 1960. Together they had six children, three boys and three girls. Edward served in the Air Force from 1959 to 1961. He was employed by Certain Teed (Cameron Mills) until 1989 and then worked at Kirsch until 2008. He enjoyed dirt track races at the HOT Speedway, traveling, little league softball, baseball and high school football.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Frank Gooch; and grandson, Shawn Morosky.

Survivors include his wife, Minnie Jenkins; children, Edward Warren “Tiger” Jenkins, Jr., Donna Kaye Morosky and husband, Richard, Delissa “Lissa” Jenkins Lawson and husband, Rodney, Dana Jenkins Brookshire and husband, Blain, Jimmy Jenkins and wife Lisa, and Duane Jenkins and wife, Mindy; grandchildren, Starla Middlebrooks and husband, Joe, Ashley Landeck Watson and husband, Neil, Britnea Sparkman and husband, Brandon, Kristi Brookshire, Rick Morosky, Kyla Peacock and husband, John, Layla Marie Jenkins, Autumn Jenkins, Matthew, Emilie and Justin Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Caden and Dixie Morosky, Jantzen Blanco, Triniti Sparkman and Ivy Middlebrooks; sister, Louise Jenkins Gooch, brother, Ellis “Ajax” Wiseman and wife Virginia; and nieces and nephews, Cindy Gooch, Tony Gooch and Paula Free.

Edward will be greatly missed by his family, friends and his dog, “Tipsy”.
