Elaine M. Wolda, 90, of Waco, went to be with her Savior on April 4, 2013, surrounded by her family at her bedside. Graveside services will be 1PM Monday, April 8th at Forest Park Cemetery – Westheimer in Houston. Elaine was born December 8, 1922 in Clemville, Texas to Mae Wheeler and her husband. C.G. Wheeler married Mae and he helped raise Elaine. Elaine graduated from Cosmo Ranch High School in 1941. Among her many lifetime achievements, the ones that stand out the most were being voted Most Beautiful her senior year, and recording three holes-in-one during her golfing years. She married Tony Wolda on July 2, 1949 in her mother’s backyard. Jen Cockrell was her Maid of Honor. Jen and Neil Cockrell honeymooned with Elaine and Tony in Mexico City. She worked for Homco from 1961 to 1971. She enjoyed golfing, watching tennis, gambling trips, fishing, and the whole retirement life, along with her Lake Waco Women
