Ella Miller, 62, of Waco, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2014.
Memorial Service: 3PM Monday, August 11th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco.

On May 6, 1977, Ella married James “Jim” Miller, who expresses that “Ella was the most loving, kind women I ever met- God must have known I would need someone like her to help my through my life.” They celebrated their 37 wedding anniversary this year.
Ella was a licensed amateur (ham) radio operator and held the call sign KA5EPM from 1979 until her untimely passing. She was a beautiful soul who will be remembered by many.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, David Stewart.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Jim Miller, of Waco; son, James Gilleland of Coral Springs Florida; her and Jim’s beloved Dalmatians, Sparky and Abby; as well as many friends who will miss her deeply.
Ella herself wanted to express a special thank you to Gail Cheney, who so graciously helped her many times in her last days. A thank you to the hospice care team, you made our load a little lighter.

Jim and James, I know this is a very difficult time for you ( and Sparky& Abby). I loved Ella like the sister I never had.. I know her spirit is free now. I hope you know what she meant to people, close friends or not. She made people feel they were so important to her, it didn’t matter what social ladder they were on, she still treated people with the respect and dignity they deserved. She was the best neighbor anyone could ever ask for. I hope for you, Jim&James to carry with you throughout your lives the spirit of Ella in your heart and soul. I’m so sad to lose her… I love you guys, and I certainly loved Ella Mae Miller. I will miss her so very much. Love, Carol
