Eunice White passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022, at her home in China Spring, Texas.
Memorial service: 10AM Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Lake Shore Funeral Home.
She was affectionately known as Pixie to her family and close friends. Pixie was born October 1939 in Corona, New Mexico and considered Rocky Mountains home. She spent her younger years on her parent’s ranch near Delta, Colorado and graduated from Delta High School.
Pixie was an independent, strong, stylish lady who was determined to give her children the best life possible. She earned a degree in business education from the University of Wyoming. She started teaching and taught for eight years in Ten Sleep, Wyoming and then retired after another 25 years teaching for the Department of Defense overseas. While serving as a high school teacher on overseas military bases, Pixie lived in Spain, the Azores (Portugal), and Germany. She enjoyed traveling and sharing tales of her journeys throughout Europe. She cherished her beautiful treasures and keepsakes from her travels.
With a profound sense of humor and adventurous spirit, Pixie had many friends from around the world. She was a long-time member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She was a wonderful, talented cook and took pride in her gorgeous yard and flowers. There was constantly a book on her nightstand with her classy glasses nearby. As a self-taught artist, she decorated her home beautifully with the lovely oil paintings she created.
Pixie is survived by her three children, John (Carolyn) Murphy, Mark (Karla) White, and Dianne (Jason) Ferrarini. She was Grandma Pixie to six grandsons, Cameron, Curtis, Christian, and Cole Ferrarini, Collin Williams, and Preston Griffis; four granddaughters, Brittany and Kayla White, Alecia Collins and Cassie Morgan; and three great-granddaughters, Tayla Collins, Vena Morgan and Emery Krumnow.
To honor Pixie, please consider a donation to the Providence Foundation of Waco, Texas or to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Print Obituary & Condolences
I was so saddened to hear of Eunice’s passing.
We were sorority sisters.
As a fellow artist, she would call and we would discuss painting issues she was a having. She was such a beautiful soul and will be missed. Keeping family and friends in my prayers.
So very sad to hear of Eunice passing. She was always fun, upbeat and always had a funny story. She would share her travel adventures and the love of her family brought a twinkle to her eyes. Our sorority mourns the loss of our friend.
Dear John, Mark, and Dianne,
I am so sorry and saddened to read of your mom’s passing. I’d tried calling yesterday, and found no phone numbers that I had working. So, I did something I rarely do, googled her. The funeral notice came up.
Yes, it has been a bit more than a year. I’m sure it has not been a piece of cake for any of you during this past year + time.
I’m thinking I had talked with your mother last maybe the previous summer of 2021. She was a bright light to me, as I was on summer break from school, and had finally been able to travel home to Idaho to see family. She kept me laughing during that phone call with stories of what she was doing at the time there in Waco, remembrance of trips we’d taken together during our time together in the Azores and then in Germany.
She was so generous. I would take my 2 cats, Sam and Lady, down to her house in Ramstein area for the weekend, while I attended church meetings and did day trips with her into France. What fond memories. I always loved seeing what new art work she was working on, and the care she took of her yard.
We talked about her piano playing, how it was going, not going, as music is my minor and I have had years here in Germany that I actually got to teach it to Kinder-5th grade instead of regular classroom.
I don’t know why I didn’t think to google her last summer, but know I kept thinking I need to call Eunice. I was a “day late and a dollar short!”
Please know that you had a remarkable mother that loved you, cared about you, and loved to share/brag about you to others. She was my rock when my father passed away in 98′, and then my mother in 2005′.
My sincere condolences to you. May your mother’s memories be constant strength to you.
Sincerely,
Tawna Ashcraft
Azores and Germany Teacher Friend.
