Evelyn Joyce (Simmons) Beall, 91, of Waco, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2024, in Waco, TX.
Joyce was born on February 25, 1933, in Marshall, Texas. She graduated from North Dallas High School in 1950. She married Charles Dow Beall on September 12, 1953, in Tyler, Texas, and they later moved to Arlington, Texas to raise their family. After her sons were in school, she started her career in Accounts Payable for the Arlington Independent School District, where she worked for many years. She loved her family deeply and was our greatest prayer warrior. In her spare time, she enjoyed painting with friends, sewing, crafting, and cake decorating. Cooking for her family and friends was a great love of hers, and she was very good at it. She loved birds, as evidenced by her porcelain figurine collections and the many bird feeders in her yard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 2005.
Joyce is survived by her children, Charles (LeeAnn) Beall and John (Jeanne) Beall; grandchildren Audrey (Jared) Mayrhofer, Reece (Katelyn) Beall, Meredith (Patrick) Palmer, Spencer Beall, and Olivia Beall; sister, Barbara Anne Cox; niece, Donna (Mike) Reynolds; and nephew, Bryan (Dana) Cox.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
