Garth William Shelby Robinson Jr., 83,  a dedicated and courageous Dad, Husband and Texas Game Warden, passed away on Monday, August 5th, 2024.

Graveside Service: 10:30am Monday, August 12 at China Spring Cemetery, 15654 Old China Spring Road, China Spring, TX.

Bill was born on Christmas Day, 1940 in Waco, to Garth and Juanita Robinson. Bill graduated from Midway H.S in 1959. After H.S., Bill sold cars for Bird Kultgen Ford in Waco, before joining the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department as a Game Warden in 1966, fulfilling a lifelong passion for wildlife conservation and law enforcement. During his distinguished career, Bill was known for his unwavering dedication to protecting Texas’s natural resources and ensuring the safety of its citizens. He received numerous commendations and awards for his exceptional service, served as the President of the Game Warden Association from 2000 to 2003, and retired as the Chief of Fisheries Enforcement. During his distinguished career he served in the Marble Falls and Kerrville regions and taught Game Warden School in Austin.

Beyond his professional achievements, Bill was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. He is survived by wife, Margaret; sons, Mark, Steve and Bryan; sister, Jean Pederson and husband Charles; stepchildren, Jane, Brenda, Mark, Melanie, Robyn and Robert, and a host of grand kids, great grand kids, extended family and many friends. He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering commitment to family and community.

Bill was very proud of his involvement with the Blazing Star Masonic Lodge, located in Marble Falls. He had recently received his 50-year certificate.

Bill’s legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched and the natural beauty he worked so hard to protect. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
