Gary Lynn Willis, 59, of Elm Mott, passed away Saturday, February 9th at his residence. Graveside services will be 2PM Wednesday, February 13th at Moore Cemetery in Chalk Bluff with Rev. Joseph W. Neely Reynolds officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8PM Tuesday, February 12th at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. Gary was born September 23, 1953 in Waco to Allen Ray and Nancy (Holzer) Willis. He graduated from Connally High School in 1972 where he was active in athletics. He attended MCC and graduated from TSTC with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local Union #67 and was employed at M&M Mars for a number of years. Gary was a loyal Texas Longhorn fan and loved football and sports. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing with friends. He was a member of Lakeview United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Ray Willis.
Survivors include mother and step-father, Nancy and Carl Curry of Elm Mott; son, Jeff Willis and wife Melissa of Waco; daughter, Lindsey Willis of Chalk Bluff,; sister, Karen Aguilar of San Antonio; brother, Mike Willis and wife Dee of Bedford; step-brother, Mike Curry and wife Rita of Waco; grandchildren, Shelby Willis and Tyler Willis of Waco; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Steve Wade, Gary Straten , Kenny Kunkel, and Mike McCleary.
The family would like to thank all of the nurses, doctors, respiratory therapists and staff and Providence Hospital.
