Gloria Gean “Jeannie” Chapman, of Bellmead, passed away peacefully Monday, March 28, 2022 at Providence Hospital.
Graveside Service: 2pm, Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Rosemound Cemetery.
Visitation: 6-8pm Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Lake Shore Funeral Home.
Jeannie was born March 27, 1937, in Waco, Texas, to Albert Edward Carlisle and Jessie Cornelious Carlisle. She married the love of her life, Eugene Chapman, August 10, 1956 and they were married for 49 years until his passing in 2005. Together they spent their lives running the family business, Chapman’s fruit market, and raising their four boys. Jeannie loved her family more than anything in the world and her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. She also enjoyed painting, collecting dolls, Elvis Presley, and her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Chapman; sons, Buddie Eugene Chapman and Frankie Terrell Chapman; parents, Albert Edward Carlisle and Jessie Cornelious Carlisle; siblings, Albert “Bubba” Carlisle, Frankie B. McLendon, Verna Lee “Punkin” Thomason, and J.C. “Buddie” McLendon.
Surviving Jeannie in death are sons, David Chapman of Waco, Steven and wife Debi of China Spring; daughter-in-law, Kandi Chapman (Terry Chapman); grandchildren, Joshua Chapman and wife Allison, Jeremiah Chapman and wife Ashley, Coty Wilson and wife Alli, Jessica Trosch and husband Lou, Jefferson Chapman, Chase Chapman and wife Kelleigh Chapman, Chesley Chapman, Krystal Austin and husband John, Brittany Chapman, Buddie Chapman, and many great grandchildren she loved more than life. Jeannie leaves behind sisters, Sarah Brink, Joyce Gilchrest, Sally Copeland and husband Larry, and special friend Wray Hurst.
Honorary pallbearers are Joshua Chapman, Jeremiah Chapman, Coty Wilson, Jefferson Chapman, Buddie Chapman, and Chase Chapman.
