Harlan Gene Armstrong, 67, of Hereford, Texas peacefully left us for his eternal home Sunday, February 12, 2023 surrounded by family after a short battle with cancer.
He will be honored with a celebration of life March 11th at his home in Hereford from 2 pm – 4 pm. Family and friends are invited to attend and share their favorite memory.
Harlan was a lifelong Hereford resident, a proud patriot and a veteran of the United States Army. He was founder and owner of Armstrong builders and enjoyed the relationships he developed in his community. He was a good friend, hard worker, excellent dancer, and known for his witty personality. He loved his daughters, dogs, plants, home, and a good drink at the end of the day. Always living on his own terms, leading with his heart first and paying little attention to judgements. He was a free spirit every day that he lived.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, JW “Jake” and Mona Armstrong, and brother, Rick Armstrong.
His memory will live on through his two daughters; Audrey Whitley and husband Sam of Stanton, Texas, and Stacy Zukerman and husband Jason of Waco, Texas; four grandchildren, Austin Willey, Braxton Reed, Chloe Reed and Reese Zukerman; sister, Tonya Kleuskens and husband Dale of Canyon, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Harlan and family would appreciate a donation in his name to Hope Lives Here. www.hlhtexas.org
