Harold Wayne Pilgrim, 85, was called to his heavenly home April 22, 2023, while at the Atrium of Bellmead rehabilitating his hip fracture.
Harold was born in Aquilla, Texas July 14, 1937 to Duain Pilgrim and Mural Barrett. He enlisted in the United States Navy before his 18th birthday in November 1954 and honorably discharged in 1970. He re-enlisted to the United States Navy twice, serving in the military for more than 25 years and retiring in 1984.
Harold met Barbara in Dallas, Texas, fell in love and married her on May 28, 1995. Harold did not have any of his own children, but dearly loved the family he married into; daughters, Alisa Long and Trina Pendleton.
Harold enjoyed life alongside his loving wife for nearly 28 years in Garland, TX prior to moving to Waco in 2019. Harold was employed by the City of Garland for many years before his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents; aunt’s and uncle’s and many cousins.
He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife; adored children; cherished grandchildren and precious new great granddaughter.
