Henry F. Schmidt, Jr., 76, of Waco, passed away, Sunday, December 7th at a local hospital. Graveside services will be 4PM Friday, December 12th at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro with Rev. Henry was born April 25, 1932 in Clifton to Henry F. Schmidt, Sr. and Emma Clara (Phillip) Schmidt. He served in the U.S. Army. He worked for General Tire for 32 years until his retirement. He then worked as a contract mail carrier and later for Pinkston Security at Owens-Illinois. He was a member of Richfield Christian Church in Waco.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Erma Louise Schmidt and his parents.
Survivors include son, Tim Schmidt and wife, Frances of Waco; sister, Erna Thicle of Clifton; sister-in-law, Pat Cannon of Waco; brother-in-law Howard Marshall of Ft. Smith, Ark.; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren, including the apples of his eye, Destiny, Joshua and Michael; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Central Christian Church of Hillsboro or American Heart Association.
