Steve Horne, 53, of McGregor, passed away Friday, April 24, 2020 at Providence Health Center in Waco.
Visitation: 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, at Lake Shore Funeral Home
Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, at Lake Shore Funeral Home
Due to the current COVID-19 mandates, only 50 people may enter the funeral home at one time. Therefore, please be mindful of this and follow the rules set forth.
Steve was born October 28, 1966 in Waco to Hubert Cecil Horne and Emma Davis Horne. He was educated in Waco ISD schools having attended J.H. Hines, Carver and Richfield High School. He was a friendly and outgoing person who made friends easily. Steve loved sports, especially watching Dallas Cowboy games. He enjoyed working at Genie Car Wash in Waco for many years.
Steve began to think about the spiritual aspects of life and began a serious study of the Bible. He made changes in his life to harmonize with its teachings.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Emma Horne; and a baby sister, Emily.
Steve leaves to cherish his memory his father, Hubert Cecil Horne and Marie Horne; sons, Steven “Lil Steve” Horne and Stephan Horne; daughter, Octavia “Shay” Horne; the mother of his children, Konika “Nikki” Sumling; five grandchildren; brothers, Craig Horne and Dietrick Horne; and many other relatives and friends.
