I was a new Mom when I moved next door to the Sommerfelds back in 1978. My family lived in Dallas so I adopted ALL of the Sommerfelds as my local family. They all had a role in my life in one way or another. One day I went next door and told Tuffy that my baby was teething and I was going crazy. She told me to give her a green onion and let her chew on it.
I thought she was crazy and the thought of my sweet baby chewing on an onion made me shutter. Back then we did not have Google so I just went for it!
She was right! No more crying baby and we were friends for life!!! Sweet memories! Love and healing prayers to the family and friends of my friend, Irene.
