Ismael Perez Castro, 63, of Waco, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016 at his residence. He had been very ill and was finally diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer in August. He returned home on September 2nd, to spend his last days with this family. Ismael found joy in studying the Bible and made the truth his own by getting Baptized as one Jehovah’s Witnesses in July of 2013. He was very dedicated and zealous in the ministry work and wanted his family and friends to learn what he loved most, God’s word. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, gardening, reading the Bible and grilling with his family. There was never a dull moment around Ismael. He was either teaching you how to do something or sharing a story with you about his life. Ismael made friends with anyone and everyone including his landscaping clients. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and spiritual family.
Ismael is survived by his wife, Mary Elsa Castro; his children, Elizabeth Torres and husband, Fidel, Epifania Rodriguez and husband, Omar, Rosalinda Castro Soto and husband, Michael, Veronica Castro, Adam Deleon, Ismael Alberto Castro, Rebecca Zapata and husband, Tomas and Elsa Burciaga and husband, Obed. He is also survived by four brothers, three sisters; and 25 grandchildren.
