Jacqueline Sue (Handley) Cohen of Waco Texas passed away April 13, 2023.
Jackie was born November 30, 1953. She was born in South Bend, Indiana to Otto and Betty Jane (Roberts) Handley. Jackie attended elementary school in South Bend before moving with her family to Waco, Texas where she attended Waco High School.
Jackie was employed at Crestview Nursing Home, and Puremco Domino Factory. She was also a longtime member of the Salvation Army Church of Waco.
Jackie is proceeded in death by her parents; brothers, Leroy, Bill, and Denny Handley; sister, Joyce Mousch; newborn daughter, Jennifer; and son, Sean Mercer.
Jackie is survived by her three grandchildren, Sean Mercer Jr. (Lauren) of Belton, Texas, Lauren (Andrew) Banks of Cummings, Georgia and Aron Mercer of Bellmead, Texas; great grandchildren, Bailee Banks and Devon Banks; brothers and sisters, Louis Handley, Ron Handley, Judy Handley, Janice Cleveland, Jinna Johnston, Julie Crockett of Waco, Texas and Jody Cavurro of Mishawaka Indiana. Numerous nieces and nephews, and Kim Watson who was a caregiver to Jackie and a daughter of Waco.
Jackie spent her life taking care of others, something she truly enjoyed. She developed a special bond with her nephews Travis and Taylor Handley while living with her brother Ron and his sons.
