It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our best friend, father, son, and husband James Howard Busby Sunday, October 22, 2023. James was born February 17, 1965 to Patricia Ann Casey-McEvoy and John Michael Busby in Waco Texas.

This will be open to anyone that would like to say goodbye to James! The dress attire for the evening is extremely casual, come any time between these hours, sandwiches and snacks will be served.
James was a true child of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He had many friends that became lifelong friends to this day. He began life in Waco but extended his life experiences all over Texas. Everyone loved the stories he told about his adventures from Texas to Hawaii, Las Vegas, Idaho and Wyoming, where he found the love of his life Debi Diesburg; finally, leading him to Oklahoma and back home to Texas. James liked to refer to all of their travels as “James and Debi’s Big Adventures.
James and Debi received their Ham Radio licenses in 2007. From that time on, James talked all over the world. His call sign, KE7LNU, was transmitted here, there, and everywhere, including the International Space Station. The sudden loss of his boisterous loud voice will be greatly missed, but forever in our hearts and memories.
James left these memories behind to his wife, Debi; beloved mother, Patricia Casey-McEvoy; son, John Wesely (Monica); stepdaughter, Leigha (Eric Topping); stepson, Michael (Romero); sister, Pamela (Ed) Sullins; brother, Michael (Cindy) Busby; grandchildren, Luke, Zack, Madalyn, Noah, Lilly; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
James has also left behind his friends with their memories including best friend, Chestley (Robin) Smith, boss, friend and all together someone to get in trouble with; and friends, Bobby Brem, Terry Lehraman, Gary Parson, James Pack, David Williams, and so many others.

James,
Your laughter will be truly missed, even though you couldn’t always keep up with Deb and me 😉
I enjoyed our talks and stories.
You were one of a kind and I was proud to call you my brother-in-law.
Cheers!
Love,
“Little Sis”.
