James Matthew “Matt” Todd, was born December10, 1956 and passed away in his private home on September 7, 2024. Matt was a Waco native, born to parents James Burton Todd and Anna Margaret Huff-Todd. Matt attended Waco public schools, graduating from University High School in 1975.
Matt worked at the M&M Mars factory in Waco, from which he retired after 33 years. Matt loved the outdoors and especially loved exploring and scuba diving in new and exotic places like Rotan, the Cayman Islands and Cancun with his late wife, Kathy and brother-in-law, Ed Wilson. Matt was no stranger to hosting events at his home, inviting all his family and friends to his famous Barbecue’s. He enjoyed working with his hands and practiced wood craftsmanship in his free time.
Matt is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Susan and husband Pat; and his previous wives, Kathy and Diane. Matt is survived by his sister, Allison; niece, Stephanie; nephews, Michael Ducey and wife Leigh and Colin Ducey and wife Lindsey; great nieces and nephews, Braden, Jacob, Jordan, Hank and Rex; “bonus children” from his marriages, Donnie, Billy, Tammy and Travis; and numerous cousins.
At Matt’s request, no memorial or service will be held.
