Jeff J. ” Trey” South III, 75, of Waco, passed away Monday, February 19, 2024.
He was an artist, potter, teacher, and he was loved by many.
No services are planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Waco Animal Shelter and Fuzzy Friends.

Trey was a kind soul. He was artistic and also practical. He shared his love of animals with his wife, Carol. Thank you, Trey for making it a kinder and better world.
Trey was such an integral part of my formative years in Waco. Such wonderful and happy memories from that time in our lives. He was a one-of-a-kind individual, RIP my old friend.
Many fond memories of our time together with teenage friends who lived along the side streets of MacArthur Drive in Waco back in the early 1960’s. We had no cell phones, so it was mostly a lot of playing outside and inside with neighborhood friends. So, we frequented Trey’s home and street and he frequented ours on a daily basis. We had lots of very positive memories. Rest in peace my friend!
