Jerry Don Hoffman, 78, of Waco, Texas passed away peacefully Friday, November 4, 2022.

Visitation: 6 – 8PM Friday, November 11, at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel 2.

Funeral Service: 2PM Saturday, November 12, at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel.

He married the love of his life, Carolyn Janette Hoffman (Webb), in 1963 and they were together everyday until her passing in May of 2021. Jerry was the “life of the party”, and loved to barbecue and entertain around the pool. He was a people person, who embraced the saying, “the more the merrier.” Fishing, camping and being around family and friends meant the most to him. In his younger years, he raced motorcycles and participated in cross country races and hill climbs. He also enjoyed building and racing stock cars on a round-a-round track. Jerry worked at Waco Spring and Brake for forty-five years and at O’Reilly Auto Parts for five years after retirement, but Jerry never truly retired as he was always tinkering away on something in his shop.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Carolyn; parents,  Albert and Anne Hoffman; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Webb and John Lowe.

Jerry is survived by his son, Donnie Hoffman; daughter, Janetta Fabianke and husband Mike; sisters-in-law, Barbara Lowe, Marlene Webb, Robin Schieler and husband Jim; granddaughters, Trista Fabianke and fiancé Cooter Green, Tamara Cawthrone and husband Cory; grandson, Caleb Hoffman and Rachel Bates; great grandsons, Michael Lathern, Travis Lathern, Trynen Cawthorne, Canton Cawthorne and Koy Cawthorne; great granddaughter, McKinzi Rusnak and many nephews, cousins and great nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and associates of Wesley Woods for taking such great care of our dad.

Place of Service: Lake Shore Funeral Home , 5201 Steinbeck Bend; Waco, TX 76708
