I love you, Dad.
I am so very sorry to hear about Jerry’s passing. He was my step-dad a long, long time ago. When I think of him, I think of music. He was incredibly talented. I remember his bedroom being full of musical instruments, and I remember band practices and watching the band play down at Waterworks. MCC also reminds me of him. I remember taking one of his classes, and I remember him keeping the bicycles we got for Christmas in his faculty office.
Sending my condolences to Dona and her sons, Greg, Joel and Kristie.

He departed leaving us with wonderful memories.
Jerry was my neighbor in Hewitt in 1970 on Sun Valley (Street I named when I had the Waco paper route there. Really a nice guy! At MCC in 1973 he was my psychology instructor one semester. Yes, I made an A in his class but I worked for it. Sad that he is gone. Prayers for the family and friends. 🙏✝️🙏
We are deeply sadden by the passing of our good friend, Jerry. We were totally shocked to hear of his death, for it was less than ten days ago that he and I were having a normal conversation as I worked at his house.
Jerry was a good, gentle man and may he rest in peace, for it was a big part of his life to provide a place for veterans to have a place to rest and enjoy peace.
We will really be missing our friend of over 30 years .
Rest in peace Jerry ❤️
Jerry was a kind and caring man who always had a great story to tell. It was a joy knowing him and having him be a part of my life. We will miss you dearly.
I was a student of Jerry at MCC. In the late
70s. He was an excellent facilitator. Interpersonal Relationships was the class and I learned a lot. It was my favorite class of all classes taken at MCC. He was sincere and cared genuinely about all his students. I send my sincere condolences to all of Jerry’s family.
So very sorry for your loss. He was my instructor at MCC back in the early 80’s. He taught a class Interpersonal Relationships. A class that helped me through my divorce. He was such a good kind hearted man. I’ve thought of him over the years remembering that class and how fun it was. Prayers for comfort.

Dad left a positive impact everywhere he went. He exuded joy and brought that happiness to everyone around him. He will be deeply missed and always loved.
I’m so sorry to hear this news. I have so many fond memories of Jerry. My heart and prayers are with Dona and family. Love to all.
Going to Uncle Jerry’s house was always the high point of family visitation when I was a kid. Jerry was a very interesting and beloved man. As an undergraduate at the University of Texas, Austin, Jerry won the campus-wide talent competition as a guitarist and singer. He had a great voice and was a gifted musician. Like his older brother, Jim, Jerry completed medical school but after the first year of his internship he quit medicine to become a psychotherapist. As a college student, I asked him why he decided to do that and he said, “I just couldn’t take it when my patients died.” He later became a college professor and in the 80’s he opened the first of many housing units for disabled veterans and became a very successful businessman. Despite his many accomplishments, Jerry emanated humility, kindness and concern for others. He’s also the most long-lived of the men in our family.
We are all privileged to have known this wonderful man who touched the lives of so many. My deepest condolences to Dona and his immediate and extended family. He will be missed by all who knew him.
