Jerry Ware was born December 27, 1946 in Belton, Texas. He went home to join his Lord and Savior Wednesday, May 31, 2023.
Memorial Visitation: 2 – 4PM Saturday, June 3 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Stateroom
Jerry was a truck driver and instructor most of his life, and like most true truck drivers he always had a song to sing and a story to tell. He had a quick wit and could always make you laugh and smile with a joke or two. He had a love for music and even had written a few songs to entertain those who knew him. Back porch pickin’ and singin’ was always a good time for Jerry. He enjoyed many outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, camping and even getting some “wind therapy” riding his motorcycle. Jerry also dabbled in raising feather friends such as homing pigeons and chickens. However family and friends were very much home for him. Jerry also enjoyed his alone time as well. Just a man and his bible, he took the time to read, study and reflect on the word of God. He could quote you any verse the good book contained upon request if you asked it of him. He was a firm believer in what waited beyond this earthly life for him and now his heavenly journey has begun.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father and mother, Anver and Oleta; brother, Andy; sister, Dale, and brother in law, Darrell Campbell.
Those who are left to cherish his memory are his son, Archie and wife Robyn, and son, Micky; mother of his children, Janice Jarvis; brothers, Doyle Ware and wife Polly, Lewis Ware and wife Becky; sisters, Carol Campbell, Martha Janeke and husband John; grandchildren, Ashlea Ware, Seth Ware, Harmony Ware and Gracie Ware; great grandchildren, Ederinn and Emilia McGee, as well as a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Jerry will forever be on our minds and in our hearts. This is not goodbye, It’s we will see you later.
