Joe Don Oswald, 66, of Waco, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 29, 2012, passing peacefully in his sleep. A memorial service in his honor is set for 10am, Friday, January 4th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. Joe was born in Waco on June 8, 1946 to Woodrow and Marie (Henager) Oswald. He worked for Lehigh Portland Cement Company for 31 years. Joe was a great man who lived his life the way he wanted. He will be remembered by everyone who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Linda Ann.
He is survived by his three brothers, Bill Oswald of Speegleville, Tommy Oswald of McGregor, and Mike Oswald and wife Ocie of Wichita Falls; two sons, Donnie Oswald of Las Vegas, NV, and Brett Oswald and fianc

Joe was a good friend of mine. He did enjoy life. We spent a few night together with our friends at a club called Neros.
