Joelene Hope Hein

Joelene Hope (Turner) Hein, age 75, passed away February 28, 2024.

Graveside Service: 2pm Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Calvary Cemetery, Marlin, Texas with Pastor Mark Griffin officiating.

Joelene was born September 18, 1948 in Marlin, Texas to J.C. and Effie (Manes) Turner. She grew up in Baytown, Texas. For 20+ years Joelene worked in Home Health as a care giver. She loved fishing, birdwatching, cooking, crafting and crocheting; however, her greatest joy was being Memaw to her five grandchildren. Joelene was a member of Rock Creek Church in China Spring.

Joelene was preceded in death by her parents, Effie Torres and J.C. Turner; step-father, Henry Torres; brother, Benjamin Young; and her good friend, Eugene Woods. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Kenneth Hein and Shanna Woods; brothers, James (Brenda) Young of Waco, Charles (Rose) Young of Dayton and Hamilton (Shirley) Mason of Dayton; sister, Deborah Reding of Baytown; grandchildren, Kenzi Hein, Chloe Hein, Clark Hein, Cade Yannuzzi and Caylie Yanuzzi; close family friends, Charlie and Stacy Yannuzzi; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
