Joshua David King, 28, went to be with our Lord and Savior on September 16, 2015, surrounded by family and friends.
Visitation: Friday, September 18 from 5-7 p.m. at Church of the Open Door, 900 N Loop 340, Waco, TX 76705.
Funeral services: Saturday, September 19 at 3:00 p.m. at Church of the Open Door with Pastor Ronnie Holmes officiating. Interment will follow at Robinson Cemetery.
Joshua was born September 16, 1987 in Waco and graduated from Riesel High School. He was a gifted athlete and an amazing football player. Joshua enjoyed playing disc golf, spending time with family and friends, grilling, and especially loved fishing. He had a big appetite for life and food. Joshua was such a lover and he absolutely adored his daughter, Ryleigh. He was a loving father, son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. He will truly be missed by all.
Joshua was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Dickie “Papa” Espin, James “Big Daddy” King, and John “Grampa” Williamson; and his sweet dog, Trixie.
He is survived by his daughter, Ryleigh Lynn; parents, James Richard and Kim Rene King; siblings, Jonathan “Bubba” Dwayne King and wife, Lindsey, James “JD” Daniel King, and Jessica “Sissy” Dene King; grandmothers, Peggy Williamson, Margaret Downie Shultz and husband, Glen, and Patricia King; great-grandmother, Imogene Wolfe; aunts and uncles, Rick and Kari Espin, Melissa and Randy Southerland, Kimberly Ann King, Tammy Jo and Tom West, Robert and Dianne Williamson, and Rodney Williamson; cousins, Ashley and Kirsten Cannon, Cody Southerland, Richard “Chip” Espin, Marshall Rogers, Robert West, Bailey Southerland, and Karah Espin; and numerous loving extended family members.

I met Josh through church. He was a sweet guy. My heart goes out to his little girl, family and friends.

I worked with Josh at his last job and I also went to school with him.. He always put a smile on our faces and was full of life.. I am sorry to hear about what happened he will be missed..
Josh you will be missed. I loved ur smile and energy for life. I followed you over these years, (mostly through fb), as you grew into a man and a father.
