Josue “Joe” G. Resendez, Jr., 64 of Waco went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 with his family by his side.
Graveside: Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 1:00PM at Old Perry Cemetery, Moody, Texas with Rev. David Arnett officiating.
Joe was born on October 23, 1952 in Eddy, TX to Josue J. Resendez, Sr. and Alicia (Garcia) Resendez.
Joe attended school in Moody, TX. He worked for Waco Apparel Manufacturing, Bustamante Tile Company as a helper, and he also worked as a mechanic for his family. He loved drinking coffee every morning and taking his daily walks where he would do his “Scrappin.” We called him our American Picker. He was always bringing home “Goodies” that he would find on the curbs. If it didn’t work, he would fix it. He was always ready to lend a helping hand.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ruth Ramirez; four brothers, Ike Resendez, Sr., Philip Resendez, Ruben Resendez and Benjamin Resendez.
Joe is survived by three sisters, Neomi Gaytan of Waco, Enedina Davila and husband Arthur, Sr. of Temple, Beatrice Rodriquez and husband Charlie of Waco; and one brother, Isaac Resendez Sr. and wife Yolanda of Waco; and several nieces and nephews.
We will never forget your laugh and when we see “Goodies” on the curb we will say, “Joe would have done something with that.” We will miss your brother but we know that you are “Scrappin” on the golden streets of Heaven. This is not good-bye but a SEE YOU LATER… remember to “LOOK FOR ME!”
