Juan “Johnny” Ramirez entered into rest Tuesday, January 25, 2022, peacefully with family by his side.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 1st, at 11 AM. Funeral service will follow at 12 PM at Lake Shore Funeral Home.Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Johnny was born to Bisente Sr. and Irenia Ramirez November 2, 1955 in Hollis, Oklahoma. He attended University High and worked as a layman for Bustamante Tile for many years. His passion was playing his bajo sexto with Maxie Bustamante y Los Alegres. He loved to dance and sing, but most of all he loved his children and grandchildren. Johnny will be greatly missed , but we know he has been made whole and is walking the streets of gold.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Johnny Ramirez Jr.; sister, Margie Gallardo and brothers; Andrew, Vincent Jr, and Frank Ramirez.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda; son, Erik-Jon Ramirez of Waco; daughter, Stephanie Wakolee and wife Reggie of Shawnee, OK; step-daughter, Lisa Sustaita; sisters, Helen Herrera and husband Manuel of Waco, Filomena Aleman of Waco, Dominga Prado of Bryan, Faye Frias and husband Jose of Waco; four grandchildren, Jayden, Julianna, Jasmine, and Destiny all of Waco, and numerous nieces and nephews.

As we say “This is not a goodbye, but a see you later”. We love you Pops, always in our hearts.

    You are so missed and loved uncle Johnny. I do have comfort in knowing you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior long ago, Amen. You were an amazing uncle,always joking and kidding around with us. I cherish the dances we danced as a child standing on your shoes,and the many dances as i grew up.     My brother in law you will be greatly missed. You will always be in our prayers. You were an amazing husband to by sister Brenda Sustaita . Destiny was so blessed to have a grandfather that loved her with his whole heart. She cherished your 3 hour phone calls just to hear your voice and waited for you to fall asleep. You were her Da and she loved you so much. You are with your family flying high . No more pain , just love. We will miss you dearly.
