Karen Lee Hotchkiss, 81, of Waco, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2024. A mom, wife, grandmother, and a friend to many.
On July 14,1980 she married the love of her life Harry Kenneth Hotchkiss “Fuzzy”, and this marriage was celebrated by their beautiful children and grandchildren.
To know Karen was to love her and all of her many quirks. She was a devoted wife, avid book reader, bird watcher and crocheter. She loved to cook for anyone that walked through her home from baked goods, fold overs, to her home cooked collard greens. She loved to travel and spend time with her friends and family. Karen loved to talk to new people and hear their life stories as well as tell her own. She never missed a moment to talk about her grandchildren and how proud she was of each of them. Karen also loved to sit and listen to the sound of birds on the porch with her beloved husband and check off each bird they saw out of a book. She truly never missed a moment. She taught everyone she knew to love the moments you have and to cherish them as it was the best day everyday and that it was your last.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as her many friends.
A private family service will be at a later date.
