Kathryn Ann Burson (Diehl), also known as Kathy, Sister, Memaw, Mimi, to my sisters and I as Mom or Momma went peacefully from this world on Monday, September 6, 2021. Her last moments were filled with her family’s tears, love expressed with tender caresses, words of endearment affirming to her of how much she is loved and will be missed. She looked like an angel as she took her last breath surrounded by her loved ones.
Funeral Service: 1PM Friday, September 17, 2021 Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel in Waco. Buried will follow at Rosemound Cemetery.
Visitation and Viewing will be one hour prior to the service.

She lived with her parents in her childhood home the last years of her life caring for them. She had a career in nursing and was very knowledgeable in the medical field. She saved many lives being a true care giver and gave love in it’s purest form from her heart. She could be silly, fun and enjoyed so much of what we all enjoy in life. She liked good music, food, company, and she loved to read books or watch romantic comedy movies. All of what made her unique and special can not be expressed entirely with words. She was so much more than loving words on paper to each and everyone that knew her.
Kathy is survived by her mother, Mildred “Mammaw” Diehl of Waco, sister, Evelyn “Tootie” Murphy of Saginaw; brother, Robert “Rusty” Diehl and wife Shirley of Mabank; daughters, Kasondra Henderson and husband Rob Henderson of Red Oak, Karrissa Edwards and husband Chris Edwards of Farmersville, and Kerri Turner of Princeton; grandchildren, Caleb Edwards, Sheldon Henderson, Kiley Edwards, Nic Bray, Cassidy Bray, Kess Henderson, Jayden Reed, Mathew Turner, Kynzie Turner, and Kymber Turner (in order according to age); and many more family members that loved her more than she knew.
“I do know that she truly belongs to God. He knows all of her, entirely down to the number of hairs on her head. We all take for granted the blessings of knowing someone and having them be a part of our lives not thinking in a moment it can all change. We would do anything to have you back mom, to call you and tell you how we feel just one more time. But, we can not, so left here with broken hearts we will miss you all of our days left here in this life. And in our hearts we will keep a hope that is based on the promise that Jesus has prepared a place for His children. Love you bunches, forever and always. In faith I say until we meet again… “

I have felt a whole in my heart, since you went away.
“…but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord!” Romans 6:23 I will always treasure the friendship and times I had with Kathy. She was and remains A beautiful soul inside and out. She loved her girls, her grandchildren, her great grandchildren and her parents with all her heart and gave herself completely for them. I will miss our planning future trips, life experiences and solving the world and family problems together. Luv U always and forever Kathy and continue to pray for comfort for all your family and friends as we mourn our temporary separation. I saw a sign the other day that said “SISTERS NEVER LET YOU DO SILLY THINGS…….ALONE”. I pray that God lets us Christian Sisters do silly things in heaven and laugh till we cry, but right now it’s tears of sadness over separation from your smile and you.
It’s late and I can’t sleep. Just watched your video, mom. GOSH, I MISS YOU! I still can’t believe your gone. How??? I just don’t get it. My heart hurts so deep. I love you, mom, big whole bunches, forever & always!
