Kenneth “Butch” Charles Walker, 86, of Waco, bid farewell to this world, on Sunday, September 8, 2024, peacefully resting at Royal Manor Nursing Home.

Visitation: 6-8PM Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Lake Shore Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 10AM Friday, September 13, 2024 at Lake Shore Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Waco Memorial Park.

Butch was born April 27, 1938 in Waco, to parents Lee Alan and Mildred Frances Walker. Being the only child, Butch held a special place in their hearts. On August 17, 1956, he exchanged vows with the love of his life, Dorothy “Dot” Jean Wilhite, embarking on a journey of companionship that spanned 62 wonderful years. Together, they were blessed with two daughters, Brenda Kay and Paula Jean. Butch loved fishing. He and Dot shared this hobby together in the Mr. and Mrs. Bass Club. An avid storyteller, Butch captivated listeners with his tales, He also had a fondness for Dr. Pepper and exploring Texas’ culinary delights. Animals held a special place in his heart, as he welcomed and cared for numerous furry friends over the years. However, his greatest devotion lay with his family, showering them with boundless love.

Butch is survived by daughter, Paula Dulock and husband, Bryan; grandchildren, Justin Molina, Krystal West and Bradley Russell; great-grandchildren, Eric, Kenley, Kolton, Choyse and Chayse.

Butch was preceded in death by parents, Lee Alan and Mildred Walker; wife, Dorothy Jean of 62 years; daughter, Brenda Kay Russell; grandson, Bryan Lee Russell and many furry friends.

The presence of pallbearers, Bryan Dulock, Bryan Dulock, Jr, Brett Mathis, Chase Mihalek, Jacob Wilhite, and Matthew Wilhite symbolizes the support and strength that Butch’s legacy imparts. The family extends heartfelt appreciation to the compassionate staff of Royal Manor for their unwavering care and love towards Butch during his final days.
