Kenneth Ray Powers, beloved father and pawpaw, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023 at the age of 62.
He was born to Vernon and Gladys Powers April 28, 1961 in Waco, TX.
Despite having a car accident when he was a teenager and cancer as an adult, Kenneth was still a fighter and very determined.
He had one daughter and two grandsons whom he adored and would do anything for. He especially loved his grandsons. Even after his health had begun to decline, he still found strength to participate in activities with them. His favorite pastimes were riding his tricycle, road trips, listening to music and spending time with his family. Kenneth had many friends, relatives and acquaintances.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Gladys Powers; and brother, James Kirby.
He is survived by his daughter, Crystal Powers of Waco; grandsons, Xavier Powers and Prince Mulbah, Jr.; sister, Linda (Lor) Sims; brothers, Ace, Kirby, Jimmy (Angel)Powers; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

I met Kenneth when he was a Head Start parent. Despite the physical disability, Kenneth was one the most giving parents in the program. He was truly involved in his child’s early education. Rest well Kenneth.
