December 5, 1960 – August 6, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Kenneth Wayne Blansit, who left us on August 6, 2024 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on December 5, 1960, Kenny was a cherished son of John T. Blansit and Jewel Bozeman Martin.
Kenny was united in marriage to his loving wife, Donna Cook Blansit, for 44 beautiful years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories with family and friends.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Donna; his son, Matthew and wife, Ashlee; and his precious granddaughter, Rylee, who he adored.
He also leaves behind his brother, Jeffery Blansit, brother-in-law, Sonny Cook, and wife, Deborah; sister-in-law, Brenda Haverkamp and husband, John; and his dear sweet aunt, Helen Bozeman. Kenny was a beloved uncle to his nieces, DeLanna Hinson, Glenda Strickland, Stacey Connor, Jerri Rittenbaugh, and Kayla Smith; and nephews, Billy Cook and Sergey Blansit. He was also adored by his great nieces and nephews and many cousins.
Kenny dedicated 42 years of his professional life to Oncor Energy Delivery as an Underground Inspector, from which he retired. All who had the privilege to work with him admired his work ethic, dedication, and commitment.
He was preceded in death by his father, John T. Blansit; niece, Brandi Haverkamp; mother-in-law, Thelma Eaton Cook; and his mother, Jewel Bozeman Martin.
The family extends special thanks to Alex Capehart, RN, and Interim Healthcare Hospice for their compassionate care. We are also grateful for the enduring friendship and support of Marshall Moore, James Humphries, Mark Sherrill, Jim Grisham, David Picha, Jesse Martinez, Gene Grayson, George Paul, Carl Harris, Anson Wilson, Ed McCafferty, and his little buddy, Brett Case.
Kenny will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in our hearts forever.
