Kimm Governo

Kimm Governo of Robinson, passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday, January 26, 2024.

Visitation: 2 – 4PM, Friday February 02, 2024, at Lakeshore Funeral Home with Reverend Wayne Blacksher residing over the service. Reception will follow at Primrose Baptist Church.

Kimm was born on November 21, 1954, in Toledo Ohio and attended Bedford Highschool. She then went on to meet Ronald Cowell and married him and had two children, Amy and Erik Cowell. They later divorced. Many years later Kimm met and married Melvin Zimmerman and had her youngest child, Joshua Zimmerman. Kimm went to night school and became a Respiratory Therapist for the next 30 years. Her job was a highlight of her life, and her patients meant a lot to her. She also had a love of horses, her dogs, cats and John Denver.

Kimm was preceded in death by her brother, Steven Governo; stepfather, Paul Apt; mother, Alice Apt; father, Jack Governo; and grandparents, Talbet Cooper, Elizabeth Cooper, and Christina Barns; and many more.

She is survived by her brother, Mike Governo; and her children Amy Cowell, Erik Cowell, and Joshua Zimmerman. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jesse Kapis, Taylor Kapis, Jeffery Harris, Jacob Harris, Devon Murry, Kaylee Cowell, Austin Cowell and Gabriella Zimmerman; and great-grandchildren, Clair Porter, Brice Porter, Christian Porter, Evelyn Porter and Okley Harris.
