Laurel Ann Kirchoff, 76 of Quinlan, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with lung cancer on January 17, 2022 in Waco.
Memorial Mass: 11a.m. Friday, February 4, 2022 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Rockwall.
Laurel was born November 14, 1945 in Racine, Wisconsin. As a young woman she traveled all over the United States and in June of 1982 married the love of her life, Jim Kirchoff and moved from Michigan to Mesquite, Texas. Laurel loved animals and spent most of her time devoted to caring for them. She worked at the Humane Society of Mesquite for many years serving animals there. She was an avid reader and loved playing board games with her family.
Laurel is survived by her husband of 40 years, James “Jim”; daughter, Franny (Jeff) Springer of Denton; son, Zach (Amanda) Depew of Waco; and grandchildren she adored, Alex (Jim) Ligorotis, Savannah and Hamilton Depew; great-grandson, Parker Ligorotis; sisters, Marylyn Gresser, of Gainesville, FL, and Karen Stout of Minneapolis, MN.
In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to the ASPCA, World Relief Fund or the American Cancer Society.
The family would like to thank family and friends and the staff at Jeffery Place for their support and care during her last days.
