Leotia A. Morgan, 94, of Waco, passed away Saturday, April 4th at a local nursing center.

Graveside Service: 10AM Friday, April 10th at Bosqueville Cemetery.

Visitation: 6 to 8PM Thursday, April 9th at Lake Shore Funeral Home.

Leotia graduated from Waco High School in 1939 and married Dan Morgan in 1940. She was a loving wife, mother and Granny to all. She was a faithful servant of the Lord. She was always giving and doing for others. She loved to cook and no one ever went away from her home without eating. At Christmas she would bake and make goodies for her care packages to take special ones. Throughout the year she loved to bake and decorate cakes and did so for many special occasions and weddings. Leotia was a person of many talents. She loved to sew and quilt. She made every grandchild a GingerBread Boy quilt. As her children were growing up, she was involved in Boy Scouts, Campfire, little league baseball, PTA. Leotia and Dan were members of the Order of Eastern Star for over 50 years. She served the Lord as by teaching Sunday School, VBS, and where she was needed.

After she was transplanted to the country, she was active in the China Spring Civic Club and as president she was instrumental in getting the Historical Marker for the China Spring Tabernacle. She loved animals. She raised goats and sheep, bottle feeding many lambs and kids in her kitchen. She also raised Great Pyrenees Dogs. Dan and Leotia gardened and shared the bounty with everyone. Every September for over 25 years she worked at HOT Fair in the Women’s Division and served as superintendent.

Leotia will be remembered for her positive, caring attitude, and friendly smile. She will be greatly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, F.A., B.E., and L.A.; and sister, D.R.; son-in-law, Terry Thomas; and daughter-in-law, Kathie Morgan.

Survivors include husband of 75 years, Dan Morgan of China Spring; son, Tommy Morgan and wife Cheryl of Valley Mills; daughter, Phyllis Thomas of China Spring; son, D.W. Morgan of China Spring; eight grandchildren, Tim, Sam, Joey, Danny, Shannon, Tom, Elaine, and Jennifer; 11 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dorothy Netherland of Robinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Memorials may be made to Order of Eastern Star, Meals on Wheels, or China Spring Volunteer Fire Department.
