"Les" Brown, 81, of Bosqueville, passed away Friday, September 20th, 2013 at his home. Graveside funeral services will be 2pm, Monday, September 23rd, in Bosqueville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-4pm, Sunday, September 22nd at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend Dr., Waco, 76708. Les was born March 20, 1932 to Leslie V. and Lois (Barrington) Brown in Waco. Notably, Les was born, lived, and will be laid to rest all within a mile of each other. From 1971-2012 he owned and operated Kountry Korner Garage in Bosqueville. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #92, and the Karem Shrine, for whom he drove a T-Car. His CB handle was "Kounty Boy". Les had many "unofficially" adopted children, which he loved and cared for as his own.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Les is survived by his wife of 57 years, LaVern (Stephens) Brown, of Bosqueville; numerous children, grandchildren, and god children; as well as many friends and family.
The family would like to thank Providence Hospice nurses and staff for their exceptional love and care.
