Linda Irene James, 65, of Michigan, went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 17, 2021, in Waco.
Memorial Service: 10 AM central time 11 AM eastern time Friday, January 14, 2022 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with family friend and Pastor Dennis Saulino officiating. Click here to View the Live Stream of the Service. Interment will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
She was born May 15, 1956 to Edmund and Irene Plawecki in Detroit, MI. Linda attended Schoolcraft Community College and obtained her Associate’s Degree in 1976. She was very active in campus activities and events and made many friends. She married John James September 5, 1981. They had two children, Grant James and Sarah Madden, née James, and enjoyed a loving, forty-year marriage. She worked as a medical records clerk and retired from Associates in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in Ypsilanti, MI. She was a dedicated Christian who loved attending church, reading her Bible, and praying for others. Her kindness and generosity touched the lives of everyone she met. She was unwavering in her devotion to her family and friends, blessing everyone around her and embodying positivity even while valiantly battling a serious illness. She blessed others because she was blessed and comforted by a firm faith in Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edmond; and mother, Irene.
Linda is survived by her beloved husband John; son, Grant and his wife Amy; daughter, Sarah and her husband Jared; four precious grandchildren, Kiera, Bryce, Jude, and Kylee; brothers, Ronald Plawecki and Gregory Plawecki, and Ronald’s wife Janet, who was her close friend since high school.
