Linda Kay Richter, 63, of Elm Mott, passed away Thursday, September 19th, 2013. A Memorial Service in her honor will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, September 28th, at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel, 5201 Steinbeck Bend Dr, Waco. Linda was born May 27, 1950 to William and Norma Voightt Wishert in Gonzales. She married Simeon Richter on June 1, 1968, and together they had two children. Linda had resided in Elm Mott since 1989 and was a lifelong member of Gonzales Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, camping, and spending precious time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Simeon Richter of Elm Mott; son, Chris Richter and wife Melissa of McGregor; daughter, Kimberly Graham and husband Jacob of Elm Mott; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jeffrey Wishert and wife Angela of Gonzales, and Larry Wishert and wife Kathy of Hardin; a sister, Ginger Parent and husband Lionel of Nederland; and many other dear family members and friends.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Hillcrest Medical Center, as well as to all of those who offered their prayer’s and help during Linda’s illness. Also, we extend our love and gratitude to the Scott and White Hospice team, especially Anna, Teresa, and Charla.
Memorials in Linda’s honor may be made to Texas Oncology Cancer Center at 1700 W. State Hwy 6, Waco, Tx, 76712.

What a joy it was to be Linda’s nurse on more than one occasion. She was a wonderful lady as was her husband. I loved watching the love between you both. I thank God that my life was touched by her. Prayers for God’s peace for you all!
