Mrs. Mary Jefferson passed away October 6, 2023. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Harris. She was born November 18, 1938, in McLennan County, Texas. She was united in matrimony to Mr. Arthur Lee Jefferson April 16, 1956. She was a loving wife, mother, friend, and homemaker. She faithfully attended New Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church from an early age, until the decline of her health. Mrs. Jefferson served New Mount Olive as President of both the Junior and Senior Missions, and as secretary of the Usher Board.
Visitation: 5 – 7PM Wednesday, October 18 at Lake Shore Funeral Home
Funeral Service: 10AM Thursday, October 19 at Lake Shore Funeral Home. Burial will follow to Oakwood Cemetery.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John Henry and Leon; sister, Martha and her husband; son, Kenneth (Bobby); and three grandchildren.
Mary is survived by two sons; Tommy R Jefferson Sr. (Sandra) of Long Beach, California and Michael G. Jefferson of Waco, Texas; daughter, Cynthia L Johnson (Timothy) of Waco, Texas; sister, Frankie Harris of Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania; brothers, Elder James Harris of San Antonio and David Harris (Janice) of Waco, Texas; cousin, Dorothy Satchell; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
