Mary Nell (Little) Furrer, 89, went home to be with the Lord, November 1, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral Service Information: Family and friends will gather, Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 12:00PM to 1:00PM, with a funeral service to begin at 1:00PM, at Lake Shore Church of Christ, 2800 West Lake Shore Drive, Waco, 76708
Burial: Oakwood Cemetery with pallbearers, Pat Wilkinson, Bubba Wilkinson, Lester Wilkinson, Scott Wilkinson, Steve White and Steve Beatty. Honorary pallbearers are, Bert Hernandez, Peter Kultgen, Edward Kultgen, Paul Christopher, Lynn Gibson, Tommy Murphy, Jack Palmer and David Kast.
Mary was born, April 5, 1928 in Hillsboro, to the late, Bob and Ruth Little. Mary spent her life enjoying being a Mom and Mamaw. She was a longtime active member of Lake Shore Church of Christ, and enjoyed being a part of Ladies Bible Study Groups, Vacation Bible School and assisting in the church kitchen when needed. Mary was an excellent cook, her chicken and dumplings and her pies will be truly missed by family and friends. She was always the first to sign up to deliver a good home cooked meal to anyone in need. Mary married the love of her life, Charley Furrer February 19, 1953. They moved to the Waco area in 1954 and to the Gholson area in 1987. Mary always enjoyed looking out her kitchen windows, to see the field of wildflowers and bluebonnets. She as well always had numerous hummingbird feeders that attracted many beautiful birds. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jack Little; and one brother-in-law, George Wilkinson.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 64 and ½ years, Charley Furrer; three children, Bill Furrer and wife, Gloria, of Hewitt, Donna Vincent and husband, Mike, of Gholson, and Vicki Mason and husband, Rodney, of McKinney; her five grandchildren, Kelli Browder and husband, Brandon, Kyle Furrer and wife, Jennifer, Amber Moenning and husband, Cody, Evan Coleman and husband, Austin and Kara Groneman and husband, Chris; nine great-grandchildren, Bailey, Brayden, Daylan and Kylie Browder, Avery and Will Furrer, Zoey and Zane Coleman and Kaisley Moenning to arrive in January; one sister, Patsy Wilkinson; stepdaughter, SuZann Kettner and husband, Charles; two step-grandchildren, Bill Kettner and Sarah Hearn and husband, Matt; three step-great-grandchildren, Charles, Josephine and William Hearn; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

Charley, Billy, Vicki and Donna–Jim and I have so many precious memories through the years. All of you were our very first family of friends. Mary will always be remembered as a special Christian woman and lived as such every day. All of you will always mean a lot to us. It was such a blessing to have you nearby and enjoy Connie with us. Our love to you all. Billy, thank you for calling and so sorry we cannot be with you.
My dad always talked about you he work for many years at Bird Kultgen with your loving husband Charlie.. my dad Perry Galvez aid I saw Charlie he lights up when he sees co-worker.. It is very hard to lose love ones but when there going home to the Father we are to rejoice but still you will miss her, remember the memories of her because she was the sweetest person and will be truly missed. Our prayers are with you and your family.
