Michael Charles Williams, 69, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother went peacefully to be with Our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 30th, 2024.
Memorial Service: 2:00PM Friday, November 8th, 2024, at Park Lake Drive Baptist Church. 3701 N. 27th Street in Waco, Texas with Dr. Amos Humphries officiating.
Mike was born in Waco, Texas, to Charlie and Jeanne (Stuckey) Williams on June 12, 1955. He graduated from Richfield High School in 1973 and followed in the footsteps of his father where he learned and excelled as a journeyman electrician – most recently working for Nemmer Electric. In December of 1974, he married Maria Theresa Goldman and together, they had two beautiful daughters, Michelle and Melanie. As life sometimes has it, they divorced and went their separate ways, however, their friendship endured until the end. In February of 1986, Mike married Rhonda Jewell Smith and they became a blended family, adding Wesley Smith to their home.
To know Mike was to be his buddy and friend. Mike was very outgoing and truly loved to talk with people. He loved the drag races and when his kids grew up, he’d go with his dad, brother and niece. He continued that love of cars by taking his prized antique “babies” to car shows where, again, he loved to chat, mingle and talk cars. If not at car shows, he was busy following his grandkids to all of their sporting events, graduations and lastly, the recent wedding of Rylee Black Marecle to Ty. Mike had a wonderful time with all of the family being together and celebrating. Mike adored his grandkids and they adored him. He was a loving presence in their lives and all will agree, he will be greatly missed.
Mike was proceeded in death by his father, Charlie Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Williams; mom, Jeanne Williams; brother, Barry Williams and wife, Lori; daughters, Michelle Fillip and husband, Jarrod; Melanie Burrow and husband, Clay; step son, Wesley Smith; grandkids, Robby, Hailey, Rylee (and Ty), Shelton and Cailynn and many nieces and nephews.
