Micheal “Mikey” Adkins, age 72, passed away September 18, 2023. He was born January 19, 1951 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Earl William and Ethel (Johnson) Adkins.
Mikey was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerry Adkins; and sister, Sharon Adkins. Those left to cherish his memory include his brothers, Tim, Randy and Roy Adkins of Warren, Indiana and so many friends.
Mikey graduated from Huntington North High School. In 1981 he moved to Texas where he worked for Fleetwood Homes, Certain Teed and then retired from Sonoco Packing.
Mikey loved the river, camping, traveling, classic rock & roll, playing in the mud and trail riding on his ATV’s and just life in general. His favorite holidays were Halloween and Christmas. He always had the best costumes and the kids loved it.
Mikey was truly “one of a kind”. He was selfless, caring and would help anyone in need. Friends soon became like family. Mikey will be greatly missed and “Red Beard” will forever be in our hearts.
It’s not goodbye, it’s “see ya later”.
