Micheal Ray Eckert

Micheal Ray Eckert, 68, went home to be with the Lord July 3, 2018.

Service Information: A funeral will be held at 2:00p.m., Saturday, July 14, at Lake Shore Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. A burial will take place in Bell Cemetery in West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma at a later date.

Micheal was born to Max and Edna (Dunn) Eckert in San Angelo, TX. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1972. Micheal loved music and was in a country and Christian music band for many years playing the drums but he could also sing and play the guitar. He also loved working on cars as a mechanic especially hotrods and trucks with some of his close family.

Micheal was a selfless person who always had a shoulder to lean on. When times were tough he remained positive kept his unwavering faith in the Lord. Micheal loved his family and he will be missed by all who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Eckert and sister, Edna Joyce Hays.

Survivors include his daughter, Christina Berry; Jerry Dale Eckert; siblings, Tamzinna Jane Bannert, John Hal Eckert, Frank Allen Eckert, Peggy Ann Miller, and Carolyn Sue Miller and several other relatives.
