Mildred Baker, 84, of Waco, passed away Monday, October 27, 2008 at a local hospital. Services will be 2PM Thursday, October 30th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Shuttlesworth and Dr. Ralph Rummage officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8PM Wednesday, October 29th at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Lillie (Chamblee) Culp; and two brothers.
Survivors include husband of 67 years, Ben Baker of Waco; daughter, Judy McGowan and husband, Ivan of Cameron; three grandchildren, Traci Kurz, David McGowan, and Deidra Franks; seven great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Dovie Luedeker of Crawford, and Joan Anderson of McGregor; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mildred always welcomed me with a wonderful smile and an hug. Her loving ways always showed in the way she treated others. Her service and support to the Bellmead Lions Club will always mean so very much. She will be greatly missed as a beautiful friend.
