Milford Behringer, 77 of Waco, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018 at a local hospital.
Memorial Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Lake Shore Funeral Home.
Milford was born to Albert and Linda (Lehrmann) Behringer on December 26, 1941, in Otto, Texas. He graduated from La Vega High School in 1961. He married his sweetheart, Kathy, on June 3, 1966. Milford started work as a teenager at West Supermarket and worked in the grocery industry his whole life. He worked as Produce Manager for Safeway, Apple Tree, Food Lion, and finally Wal-Mart where he retired in September 2017.
Milford loved dancing with Kathy and loved to polka, waltz, and two-step to his favorite country-western music. He served as president of the Young at Heart Dance Club at the Sul Ross Center and was a charter member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bellmead.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kathy (McAninch) Behringer; his brother-in-law, Kenny McAninch, and wife, Valerie; and his nephews, Chad McAninch, and wife, Nicole, and Chase McAninch, and wife, Shelly.
In lieu of floral arrangements, memorials in Milford’s memory may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1301 Hogan Ln, Waco, TX 76705.

Kathy, Jimmy and I were so sorry to learn of Milford’s passing. I know Ronnie would have been sorry to hear as well. He was such a good man and I can see them laughing together at Safeway.

I wanted to tell you I am thinking of and praying for you. Milford was the kind of person that could always make me smile. I was blessed to have him work for me at Food Lion when I first came to Texas. He was such a blessing and hoot to be around. I have lots of great memories of this special man.
