Minnie Edith Stevison Jenkins, 74, of Waco, passed away April 10, 2017.
Memorial visitation: 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 13, at Lake Shore Funeral Home.
Minnie was born in DeRidder, LA on January 29, 1943 to the late Arvel and Lorena Stevison of Moss Bluff, LA. She married Edward Warren Jenkins Sr. on May 16, 1960. Together they had six children, three boys and three girls. Minnie worked at Providence Health Center for 41 years before her retirement in 2008.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Warren Jenkins Sr.; her bothers-in-law, Frank Gooch, Rodney Simon and Ellis “Ajax” Wiseman; and grandson, Shawn Morosky.
Survivors include her children: Edward Warren “Tiger” Jenkins Jr., Donna Kaye Morosky and husband, Richard, Delissa “Lissa” Jenkins Lawson and husband, Rodney, Dana Jenkins Brookshire and husband, Blain, Jimmy Jenkins and wife, Lisa, Duane Jenkins and wife, Mindy; grandchildren, Starla Middlebrooks and husband, Joe, Ashley Watson and husband, Neil, Britnea Sparkman and husband, Brandon, Kristi Tidmore and husband, Jay, Rick Morosky, Kyla Peackock and husband, John, Layla Jenkins, Autumn Jenkins, Matthew Emilie, and Justin Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Caden and Dixie Morosky, Jantzen Blanco, Triniti Sparkman, Ivy Middlebrooks, Leo Watson, and Kyle Peacock; sister-in-law, Louise Gooch; and nieces and nephew, Cindy and Tony Gooch, and Paula Free. Also surviving are sisters, Frieda Koskela and friend, John Michon of Moss Bluff, LA, Faye Simon of Baton Rouge, LA; brothers, Roger Stevison and wife, Bennie Ann of Iowa, LA; and several nieces and nephews of Moss Bluff, LA.
Minnie will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Aunt Minnie was my mom’s sister and the nicest lady I’ve ever known. She is also survived by my mother, freida Koskela, her other sister, Faye Simon and her brother, Rodger Stevison who loved her and will miss hher greatly also.????

I can remember the Stevison girls waiting at Hwy. 378 & Sid’s Lane for the bus to take them to School in Gillis. Sending prayers to the family.
I remember waiting for that bus. Rain or shine we had to walk down to the bus stop.
