Nickie Joy Muns, 67, passed away on Good Friday April 7, 2023. She fought until the very end and passed away with a smile on her face. Her last words were, “It’s Nice Here” and we could only believe she walked through the pearly gates, and she was able to be with her son once again in heaven.
Graveside Service: 11AM Friday, April 21 at China Spring Cemetery
Nickie Joy (Biddle) Muns was born December 17, 1955 in Waco, TX. She was the daughter of Bobby Biddle and Doris McCarter Biddle. Nickie, along with her brother and sister, were raised in Robinson, TX where she stayed until she moved across town to build a life of her own.
Nickie went to Robinson High School and graduated in 1974. Although she enjoyed being with her family in Robinson, she would eventually move to China Spring and raise a family there.
Nickie married former husband, Mike, in November 1977 and they would go on to have two boys, Chris (’79) and Bobby (’83) Muns. Nickie worked at China Spring ISD where many students remember her friendly face, but her main job was raising her two boys and being with them through their entire childhood. To know Nickie was to love her, she never met a stranger, and she would make your bad day better with her quick wit and laughter. Her smiling face will live on, and we will never forget it.
Nickie was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Biddle; mother, Doris Biddle; twin sister, Vickie Stover; sister-in-law, Mary Beth Nickerson; and her beloved son, Bobby Muns.
She is survived by her oldest son, Chris Muns and wife Jenny; grandchildren, Jeven and Jaylea Muns; loving brother, Larry Nickerson; and special friend and confidant, Jeffrey Barabas and family. Nickie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other friends and family that loved her very much.
The family would like to thank the staff at Providence Hospital, Providence Hospice, and the Doctors and Nurses that helped her in the end. Also, a special thanks goes out to her niece, Aimee Mickett, who was with her until her last breath and took care of her the weeks prior. She loved you all!
