Norma Ruth Massirer Bridgewater, 75, formally from the Waco area, passed away on August 10, 2018. Norma was born April 26, 1943 to Walter Henry Konrad Massirer and Hattie Martha Massirer in the rural area of Crawford, Texas. She was the 5th of seven children and graduated in 1961 from Crawford High School. She married Lawrence “Larry” Bridgewater in 1965 in Temple, TX.
She lived in Mesa, Arizona for the last 18 years. Norma worked many years at Smeads Manufacturing in McGregor with many amazing people. She raised four children and was a girl scout leader for several years in the Lacy-Lakeview community. She owned the only pet shop in McGregor and also owned Norma’s Flower Shop in McGregor as well.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Charlie Henry Massirer of Waco, TX and Raymond Eugene Massirer of Gatesville, TX and sister, Lorene Rose Massirer of rural Crawford, Texas.
She leaves behind her children, Sharon Bridgewater Duckett Conrad and husband Dean of Waco, TX, Margie Bridgewater Wilcox of Teachey, NC, Lawrence Harold Bridgewater, Jr. and wife Rebecca of Sequin, Texas and Jacob Eugene Bridgewater and wife Heather (who took such good of care of Norma for us) from Chandler, AZ. She is also survived by sisters; Mildred Massirer Kothman of Pflugerville, TX, Wilma Massirer Clover of Alexandria, LA, and Mary Ann Massirer Howes and husband Jimmy of Bruceville, TX; her loving companion of 16 years, Robert Kennedy of Mesa, AZ and Buttons their dog; 15 Grandchildren, Joshua Duckett, Audrey Duckett, Dustin Bridgewater, Ryan Sebourne, Shawn Sebourne, Kaitlyn Conran, Emily Conran, Lauryn Conran, Holly Ferguson, Brad Holman, Rebecca Holman, Amber Holman, Nikki Pena, Thomas Wilcox, Hope Wilcox and 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

I have been going through my own grieving these past 9 months. It does get easier with time.
